Corner Gas Season 1

I was pleased with the amount of time it took to receive the dvd. The reason that I gave it 3 stars is because four of the episodes on the first disc skipped after fifteen minutes into the show and jumped ahead 5 minutes and then would start playing again. I did not have any problems on disc 2.

Best show on TV

I came upon Corner Gas in a truly strange way. My best friend just happens to live in Lumsden, Saskatchewan which is right next to Roleau a.k.a. Dog River. He told me this TV show, Corner Gas, was filmed just down by the next town. Thinking this was something like a cable access show, I was extremely surprised to find the funniest sitcom I've every seen. Shortly after my visit with the first season on DVD in hand I was happy to find WGN was showing it, but it only lasted about a year before being pulled from their programming. Big mistake. Once you watch it, you're hooked. As my luck with Corner Gas continued, I was visiting my friend later last year and made him take me to "Dog River" where they just happened to be filming the final day of the last episode of the series. I walked through Dog River and went to the gift shop, which is the police station on the show and was just so happy to have experienced the whole phenomenon right in the middle of nowhere in the middle of Canada. Brent Butt is a genius and I can't believe the whole world hasn't found him out. Buy it, watch it, love it.

I was very satisfied with this video as it was a gift for a hard to shop for person. The service was also very good.

Good episodes

It was certainly worth the price, but a little disappointing. I only watched a few episodes on WGN and thought I was "hooked." It wasn't as good in the long run as I had thought it would be, but I'm reserving judgement until I see some more episodes.

If you can record the show (3 episodes on WGN every Wednesday morning VERY early (look it up) then see what you think. I'm sure additional seasons may have more episodes.
